COMMUNICATION TEAM LEADER

Reporting to the Manager, Communications, this 2IC role leads a team of six across strategic communication, marketing, media and digital. The appointee will provide quality and timely counsel to senior leaders to ensure the effective management of the City’s stakeholder relationships and reputation, and will embed a culture of innovation and creativity amongst a team that is already highly valued for its expertise and advice.  

Tertiary qualified in communication or a related field, you possess broad strategic communication and stakeholder relations skills, and demonstrate outstanding team leadership capability. Exposure to a controversial project may complement your success in communication roles in complex, political environments with highly nuanced stakeholder dynamics. Assured, collaborative, and agile, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you will project professional credibility, and bring new depth, energy, fresh ideas and proven judgement to this appointment.
